Trademark & Non-Affiliation Disclaimer
Griddex is an independent service and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or associated with Linden Research, Inc. or Second Life®.
“Second Life” and the Second Life eye-in-hand logo are trademarks or registered trademarks of Linden Research, Inc. in the United States and other countries. Any reference to “Second Life,” “SL,” or related Linden Lab terms on this website is made solely for descriptive purposes to identify compatibility and intended platform use. Creator names, photos, and products
Every creator name, store brand, product title, listing photograph, mesh, texture, animation, and design you see referenced on Griddex remains the property of that creator (or of whoever they assigned it to). We do not take those copyrights. We do not sell their products. We do not grant licenses to their work.
We use that public Marketplace information only to:
- identify an item a resident already owns
- let them search by what it is, not only by a cryptic folder name
- show the same listing photo Linden’s Marketplace already shows the public
That is a catalog, not a store and not a copy shop. If you are a creator and you want a listing removed from the index, write to the email address on your Griddex account with the Marketplace URL. We will treat that as a takedown request.
DMCA (United States)
If you believe material on Griddex infringes your copyright, send a notice that includes all of the following (17 U.S.C. § 512):
- Your physical or electronic signature
- Identification of the copyrighted work
- The exact Griddex URL of the material you want removed
- Your name, address, telephone number, and email
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent, or the law
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act
Send it to the email address on your Griddex account with the subject “DMCA notice.”
If we remove something you posted and you believe that was a mistake, you may send a counter-notice with the information § 512(g) requires. Repeat infringers lose their accounts.
